Safari Overview

Entice Africa Safaris Ltd. offers a 2-days, 1-night safari in the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most famous wildlife sanctuary is the perfect place for exploring Africa’s unique, diverse wildlife. Overall, the weather is very comfortable and rain happens almost evenly throughout the year.
  • Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

    You will be picked up from your hotel or airport by our driver and transferred to Wilson Airport for a flight to Samburu National Reserve. Upon arrival, you will be met by your camp’s driver guide who will transfer you en-route game drive to Elephant Bedroom Camp for check-in and lunch. The camp offers luxury in a setting of breathtaking beauty. It is set along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River and shaded by Doum palms and other trees that make up this green belt of riverine forest in Samburu National Reserve.

    After lunch, there will be an afternoon shared game drive before returning to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 2-3: Full day in Samburu National Reserve

    After a hearty breakfast then depart for morning and afternoon shared game drive as per the camp’s schedule. The park is famous for its population of rare and endangered species not usually seen elsewhere. They are called, “The Samburu Special Five” – Grevy’s Zebra, Somali ostrich, the reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa Oryx. You may also spot another rarity: African wild dogs, seen hunting in their packs.
    Other game we’ll likely come across are the warthog, gazelle, baboon, impala, and the cute, little dik-dik.

    Samburu Reserve is bathed in legend. The park was also home to the legendary Elsa, the lioness of “Born Free” fame. She was raised here before being released into the wild.

    While at Samburu, take time for a cultural moment with an optional visit to the Samburu people, closely related to their indigenous cousins, the Maasai. A visit to their village will bring you up close to their homes, families, and way of life. All meals and overnight at the camp

  • Day 4: Samburu to Masai Mara reserve

    A sumptuous breakfast then check out in preparation for your flight to Masai Mara, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your mid-morning flight to Masai Mara. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airstrip by your driver and transferred to Mara Bush Camp which is located on the banks of the seasonal Olare Orok River, overlooking a large hippo pool with over 40 hippos at any given time. It is only a 05 minutes drive from Ol Kiombo Airstrip.

    After lunch, go on an afternoon shared game drive in Kenya’s most visited Reserve. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

  • Day 5, 6 & 7: Full day in Masai Mara

    Over the next 3 days, you’ll enjoy spectacular morning and afternoon scheduled game drives on the Masai Mara plains. This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino. Lunch at the Camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world. Large mammals are varied and easy to see. Residents among the Parks are Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland, and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, and both Thomson’s and Grants Gazelles.

    In addition to game drives, there are cultural visits to Maasai village and, an early morning hot air balloon flight over the plains of the Masai Mara, followed by a champagne breakfast, for an additional fee. Dinner and overnight at Mara Bush Camp.

  • Day 8: Fly from Masai Mara to Amboseli via Wilson Airport

    After a hearty breakfast, you will set off on a drive to the airstrip to catch a flight to Amboseli National Park via Wilson Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met by a driver guide and transferred to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. Later in the evening leave for a shared game drive in the park. Amboseli National Park is situated at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro in Kenya, You will have a spectacular view of the world’s free-standing volcano if the weather allows it. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

  • Day 9: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

    Spend the whole day in Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives as scheduled by the Lodge. Amboseli National Park is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. It’s known for hosting huge herds of elephants with impressive tusks popular residents like Lions, and leopards, the well-known predators, and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and Hippo. Wildlife is abundant in this park together with pelicans and other bird species. Your game viewing shall be spread to cover the open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps, and marshland.

    An optional visit to a Maasai village can also be arranged. This visit gives a good tour of Maasai culture and you will be welcomed with a sing and dance presentation, which forms part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is one of the most memorable experiences to take with you (Entry fee: $20). Lunch, dinner, and overnight at the Amboseli Serena Lodge.

  • Day 10: Amboseli National Park to Nairobi

    After a sumptuous breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and have an enroute game drive as you transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi, Wilson Airport. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by our driver and drive to JKIA  for your outbound flight or dropped off at your hotel in case you intend to spend an overnight in Nairobi
