The Big Cat Safari

You will be picked up by our driver from your hotel and we drive down the Great Rift Valley, stopover at the escarpment to view the magnificent East African Great Rift Valley. Descend to the floor of the escarpment to continue to the Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch. Have a short rest then proceed for an evening game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp.

A full day game drive as you explore Maasai Mara National Reserve, famous for its large Cat population and the great wildebeest migration. The Maasai Mara is home to the Big Five: Lion, Leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino, hippos, cheetahs, zebras, Impalas, gazelles, hartebeest, warthogs, ostrich, Topi, and Masai Giraffes among others. You choose to have a picnic lunch or lunch at the camp, continued game drives in search of all the wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp.

On these days you will explore the reserve to spot the pride of lions, leopards, and elusive cheetahs hunting is a sight to behold. A fascinating array of around 550 species of resident and migratory birds is also present within the Masai Mara. Early Morning hot air balloon ride can be arranged at an extra cost. All meals and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp.

Early Morning breakfast then drive through the Rift valley to the Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive for late afternoon lunch, you can choose to relax for the rest of the evening or have an evening game drive, where you can spot large pride of Lion, leopard, huge herds of waterbuck, zebra, buffalo, the endangered Rothschild Giraffe, and more. Depart from Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive to Samburu Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch and a short rest. Proceed for an evening game drive, dinner, and overnight at Samburu Intrepids.

Full days spent on Safari in the Samburu Reserve. The arid conditions have provided habitat for distinct animal survival peculiarities. The reserve is home to large predators such as the lion, leopard, and cheetah. ‘Kamunyak’, the miracle lioness that adopted the baby oryx was a resident in the reserve and crocodiles at the Ewaso Nyiro River which is the lifeline of Samburu game reserve. Early morning game drive then return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out, depart to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon and you will be dropped off at the airport for outbound pm flight.
