Day 01 :
Arrival in Nairobi

You will arrive in Nairobi and transfer to your accommodation at the Argyle Grand Hotel, where you can settle in and recover from your journey. The afternoon provides a gentle introduction to photography, allowing you to check and organize your gear, charge batteries, format memory cards, and familiarize yourself with your camera settings. As the day progresses, take advantage of the hotel grounds and surrounding areas for some light photography practice. Capture architectural shots of the hotel, explore the gardens for local birds and insects, or experiment with close-up and telephoto shots. As evening approaches, head out to photograph the Nairobi skyline or nearby streets during golden hour, using the warm light to practice composition and reflections. After sunset, you can try some relaxed night photography, experimenting with long exposures to capture city lights and ambiance. The focus for this day is on easing into your photographic rhythm, warming up your skills, and preparing for the wildlife adventures ahead.

Day 02 :
Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast at the Argyle Grand Hotel, you will depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive to Amboseli National Park, renowned for its vast savannahs and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The journey itself offers excellent opportunities for landscape and roadside photography, so keep your camera ready to capture local scenery, small villages, and any wildlife you may spot along the way. Upon arrival at Oltukai Lodge, check in, refresh, and prepare for your first game drive. The late afternoon golden hour provides ideal lighting for photographing elephants, giraffes, zebras, and other savannah wildlife against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro, allowing for striking silhouettes and warm, glowing images. Concentrate on capturing animals in natural behaviour, their interactions, and the expansive landscapes that make Amboseli so iconic. Conclude the day with sunset photography over the plains, experimenting with composition, light, and shadow before returning to Oltukai Lodge for dinner and a review of your day’s shots.

Day 03 & 04 :
Full Days in Amboseli National Park

Spend these two days fully immersed in the wildlife and landscapes of Amboseli National Park, based at Oltukai Lodge. Begin early each morning with dawn game drives when animals are most active and the soft golden light enhances your photography. Focus on capturing elephants in large herds, often with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background, as well as lions, zebras, giraffes, and antelope in their natural habitats. Take time to photograph closeup animal behaviours, such as interactions between mothers and calves or playful social behaviour among elephants. Midday can be reserved for rest at the lodge, editing photos, or scouting locations for afternoon photography. Late afternoon and evening game drives offer perfect lighting for silhouettes, wildlife against dramatic skies, and expansive savannah landscapes. Keep your telephoto and zoom lenses ready, but also experiment with wide-angle shots to capture the grandeur of Amboseli’s plains and the iconic mountain backdrop. From Amboseli National Park to Lumo Conservancy

On this day of your safari, you will leave Amboseli after breakfast and begin the journey southeast toward Lumo Community Wildlife Conservancy, where your accommodation for the night is at Soroi. The drive takes approximately 6–7 hours, passing scenic landscapes, small towns, and open savannahs, with opportunities for wildlife sightings along the way. Upon arrival at Lumo, a private community run conservancy bordering Tsavo West, you will check in at Lions Bluff Lodge, a luxurious lodge with panoramic views, offering private cottages and a rustic luxury feel. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a game drive within the conservancy, with chances to see elephants, lions, giraffes, and a variety of birds. As the sun sets, a sundowner on the plains provides a perfect way to relax before returning to your lodge or camp for dinner, surrounded by the tranquil sights and sounds of the African bush. Lumo’s open plains and bushland offer excellent opportunities for photography and close encounters with nature, while experienced guides provide insights into animal behaviour and the local ecosystem. Between drives, you can relax at your lodge or camp, enjoy the serene views of the conservancy, or participate in optional activities such as walking safaris or community visits. As the sun sets, a sundowner on the plains allows you to appreciate the African landscape before returning to Soroi for dinner and a peaceful night under the stars. This day is dedicated entirely to immersing yourself in the wildlife and natural beauty of one of Kenya’s hidden gems.

Midday can be spent relaxing at your lodge or tented camp, enjoying the tranquil surroundings, or partaking in optional activities like guided walking safaris or visits to community projects within the conservancy. In the afternoon, another game drive offers the chance to explore different areas of the conservancy, with expansive plains and bushland perfect for photography. Day 08 :
From Lumo Conservancy to Tsavo East National Park

From Lumo Conservancy to Tsavo East National Park You will depart from Lumo Conservancy after breakfast and head east toward Tsavo East National Park, where you will stay at Ash nil Aruba Lodge (or similar accommodation within the park). The drive takes approximately 3–4 hours, offering scenic views of the Taita Hills, savannah landscapes, and occasional wildlife sightings along the way. Upon arrival at Tsavo East, you will check in at your lodge, which is located within or near the park, giving you easy access for game drives. After settling in, you can enjoy an afternoon game drive, exploring Tsavo East’s vast, open plains known for large herds of elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and diverse birdlife. The park’s iconic red soil and sparse acacia landscapes provide dramatic photo opportunities. The day concludes with a relaxing evening at Ash nil, enjoying dinner and the sounds of the African bush, preparing for a full day of wildlife exploration in Tsavo East the following day

Day 09 & 10 :
Full day Tsavo East National Park

You will spend a full day exploring Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and most iconic parks. After an early breakfast at Ashnil Lodge, you will head out on a morning game drive, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is most active. Tsavo East is famous for its vast open plains, red-soil landscapes, and large populations of elephants, as well as lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and a rich variety of birdlife. Midday can be spent relaxing at your lodge or under the shade of acacia trees while enjoying lunch. In the afternoon, another game drive allows you to explore different parts of the park, including the Yatta Plateau where wildlife congregates and photographic opportunities abound. From Tsavo East National Park to Diani

The route takes you from semi-arid plains and acacia-studded savannahs to lush coastal areas, with optional stops for refreshments and photography along the way. Upon arrival in Diani, you will check in at Baobab Beach Resort, a beachfront property renowned for its stunning views of the turquoise Indian Ocean and pristine white sands. The afternoon is free to relax, explore the resort’s facilities, or take a leisurely stroll along the beach. Optional activities include snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking, or a boat trip to explore the vibrant marine life of the Indian Ocean, offering unique underwater photography chances. Departure from Diani / Mombasa

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for a last stroll along Diani Beach, a quick swim, or some final photographs of the turquoise waters and white sands. When it’s time, you will be transferred to Moi International Airport (Mombasa) or Diani Airport for your onward international flight. Your 14-day Kenyan adventure concludes here, leaving you with unforgettable memories and a collection of stunning wildlife, landscape, and coastal photographs.
